Thinking about studying or working in Sweden?

SI has been assigned to inform foreign students about Swedish higher education and to market this sector abroad. Part of the assignment involves cooperating with universities and colleges and with other relevant parties.
One of the Swedish Institute’s tasks is to make students and researchers abroad more aware of and more interested in Swedish university-level training and research.
The Swedish Institute manages Studyinsweden.se — a website designed to provide you with the information you need to study in Sweden as a foreign student. Also available in Russian at Studyinsweden.ru

Since December 2008, Sweden has applied new flexible rules for labor immigration from non-European countries — rules that make Sweden one of the most open countries in the world for this type of immigration.
To communicate Sweden’s unique position to the world, the SI has developed the web portal Workinginsweden.se. It provides information about the practical steps would-be labor immigrants need to take, but also describes the advantages of choosing Sweden as a work destination.
The web portal describes the permit application process step-by-step in a comprehensible manner, and gives the visitor the option of applying for a work permit online. It also describes employees’ rights and obligations and what it is like to live and work in Sweden, so that applicants know what they can expect.
