Sweden’s foreign student population is one of world’s fastest growing. Currently, some 26,000 foreign students study in Sweden, or around 7.3% of the total student body, according to the OECD.

On the anniversary of the introduction of new rules to promote expanded labor migration, the Swedish Institute (SI) – on behalf of the Ministry of Justice – is launching a web portal to attract workers from countries outside the EU to Sweden.
The portal is part of a broad effort to meet the shortage of labor confronting the Swedish labor market over the next few decades.
