Young Leaders Visitors Program 2008
The first phase of the Young Leaders Visitors Program 2008 took place between October 24 and November 15, 2008 in Stockholm, Sweden. Twenty-seven young and talented opinion-makers from Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, West Bank-Gaza and Sweden were the first participants to be selected to join the Young Leaders Visitors Network for positive change.
During an intense and challenging three-week program a creative network of motivated and strong-minded journalists, bloggers, non-governmental organization activists, project managers and culture producers was succesfully built to further inspire the participants' respective work for social change within their own contexts.
The follow-up meeting of YLVP 2008 at the Swedish Institute in Alexandria, Egypt April 5-8, 2009, includes a Young Leaders Network seminar on the theme of how to rework the world by turning ideas into impact.
