Grant announcement for follow-up projects in the Swedish Institute’s Management Program

In order to provide follow-up for and maintain the network of leaders from the public and private sector that has been created through the Swedish Institute’s Management Program, the Swedish Institute is advertising a grant that can be applied for by partners of the SI and previous program participants.

Funding is granted to projects that promote relations between Sweden and the countries involved in the program and are aimed at fostering responsible leadership and sustainable business practices.

One condition for receiving a grant is that it be used in a way that directly promotes relations between Sweden and the alumni of the Swedish Institute Management Program. Previous grants have been given to conferences for Management Program alumni with outside lecturers and other invited guests, relationship-building activities involving short trips to Sweden, participation in and organization of workshops and translation of literature.

Application instructions and criteria

Grant applications from China and India are accepted and should be sent to the Swedish Institute using an online application form. Applications should describe the aim of the project, layout, schedule and amount of money applied for.

Grants can be sought for mobility, remuneration or fees, materials, printing, seminar costs or similar activities. However, SI grants may not be used for overhead or administrative expenses. The maximum application amount is SEK 25,000.

Application period

Applicationswill be accepted on an on-going basis until September 15 2012, but funding will only be granted for projects completed by December 15 2012, at the latest. A complete project report for any project awarded a grant must be submitted to the Swedish Institute by December 20, 2012, at the latest.

Evaluation

The guiding principle in evaluating applications is how the project can strengthen ties between Sweden and the networks formed under the framework of the Swedish Institute’s Management Program. Projects need not be limited to preserving existing networks but may also be aimed at expanding them to include relevant target groups.
