Program Design 2012
The program consists of three components: A series of lectures and seminars, independent work and a contribution to on-going research at Lund University. The workload is expected to leave participants with sufficient time to manage prior commitments to existing projects in their home country.
- Pre-module program (in participants’ home environment): October 1-15, 2012
o Formulation of topic/theme for individual project work
o Establish contact with mentor at Lund University
- Modules 1–4 (in Sweden): October 15, 2012 to April 12, 2013
o Module 1: ICT and New Media in Public Administration
o Module 2: ICT and New Media in Society
o Module 3: ICT and New Media in Social Movements
o Module 4: Technological Challenges and ICT Safety
- Project work (in participants’ home environment): April to October, 2013
- Follow-up conference in Sweden: one week in mid-October, 2013
Each module consists of a five-week program with two lectures and two seminars/workshops per week. The lectures and seminars are meant to strengthen the understanding of the relationship between digital technology and social change, supporting and facilitating networking and the progress of each participant’s individual project. During and between the educational modules the participants will have the possibility to deepen their work with their projects and also engage in contacts and projects within Lund University.
