Candidate profile
- Has a genuine and demonstrated interest in social innovation, especially in the fields of human rights and social and political justice.
- Is fluent in the use of digital tool to communicate and build networks.
- Is a graduate from an accredited university, or about to graduate.
- Is a permanent resident or citizen of Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia, West Bank—Gaza or Yemen.
- Is likely to be around 20-30 years old
- Can commit to living in Lund, Sweden for the first six-month period, and can commit to participating in the program for the entire year.
- Is able to communicate well in both written and spoken English.
- Is open-minded and tolerant; will work with people of a different ethnic or cultural background, different political or religious persuasion, or a different sexual orientation.
Please note that the program is not open for applications. For 2012 fifteen candidates have already been invited to take part in the program.
