Information about Sweden

One of the main tasks of the Swedish Institute (SI) is to spread information about Sweden to the rest of the world. SI therefore produces a large amount of information in many different languages, in both electronic and printed form.

SI's publications range from booklets and folders to films and websites. Our comprehensive series of fact sheets describes Swedish society and culture and can be found on Sweden.se.

SI also runs a bookstore, Sweden Bookshop, offering a broad selection of Swedish literature and books about Sweden in many different languages. It stocks both SI’s own publications and books from other publishers. The bookstore is situated in Stockholm’s Old Town but is also accessible online, at www.swedenbookshop.com.

Sweden on the web

Sweden.se offers visitors an experience of Sweden through facts, music, films and images covering a wide range of topics. The website provides information in English as well as other languages.

There are five organizations behind Sweden.se: SI, the Swedish Government Offices including the Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Enterprise, Energy and Communications, Invest in Sweden Agency, the Swedish Trade Council and VisitSweden.

Sweden.se is produced, operated and developed by SI.
