How to apply for project funding

Kindly observe that only Swedish organizations may apply for financial support and be lead partner in a project. The information here below is for our English speaking friends to understand the application process.

Do you have a project idea and wants to find a partner in Sweden to cooperate with? Please contact us, we can help you with information and advice!

1. Read about our calls for applications for seed funding and see whether it could be a source of funding for your organization (only Swedish may apply). Then download and read through the document that contains application instructions.

2. E-mail one of our Program Managers and discuss your project idea before you fill out an application for project funding. You’ll find contact information here.

3. Once you have discussed your project idea and determined that the project qualifies for funding from us, you can fill out your application directly in our online application system. Download application instructions.

All applications to SI for Baltic Sea Cooperation require that a budget appendix be filled out. Download the Budget template (in Swedish).

For applications in which an non-governmental organization is the main applicant, there are four compulsory appendices that must be filled out:

1. Bye-laws
2. Most recent approved financial annual report and auditor’s report
3. Copy of minutes attesting that the person signing for the organization has been authorized to do so
4. Registration certificate from the Swedish Tax Authority or County Administrative Board.

We use an online application system, where the Swedish applicant log-in and write the application for project funding.

Connections to policies and strategies
It must be possible to connect the project in the application for funding to one or more of the strategies and policies for the region. More information about them is available below.
